General Discussion external hard drive broken!!! just lost 3tb of porn!

my external hardrive just fell out of my laptop when i was moveing it without being ejected, when i put it back into the computer its not showing up i cant find it in the disk menu and i couldnt select it or anything..... is there anyway to get it back? it was a very expensive hardrive and im broke af atm..... but more importantly!!! it was my entire porn collection over 3 tb............................................. LKDSAL;AKSJDFLAJDFASLGJIUHNWIGNASFAGLAF LJ fuck my fucking life. There were some very hard to find videos and all my favourite pornstar collections everything on there :/ and there is no way i can affored to replace the hard drive or the time to find all that porn again..... FUCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK.

okay aside from jokes now, i have no experience with broken HDD once they are gone i have never seen them coming back.You can show that in shop (depending on the condition of HDD if it's in pieces don't bother).3tb cost  lot of  money and specially your porn so i get your feeling.

In the Hdd, there is a disc, that we all know. In the past(i think 10 years ago) i recovered a very important Hdd from my friend which contained his family pictures from the last years.
I took the disc from the non working hard disk and put into an old hard disk,which i bought as used and had the same(100%) specifications as the broken one. Just take care,while replacing them, that no dust goes on the disc and on the disk lens.

Dude that sad to hear ... I had this happen to me some time ago. Drive started doing some clicking sound out of nowhere. It could be recovered in some cases depending on what kind of damage happened to it. There are recovery services for that. I wouldn't recommend tinkering with the drive yourself.
If you have good internet, you should consider services like this https://www.backblaze.com/cloud-backup.html 60$/year unlimited data backups. This shit saved my butt countless times.
Also HDD drives are slow, cheap but prone to failures. SSD drives are fast, pricey but more reliable ...

haha you fucker you!! so much porn at my fingertips and yet out my reach!! this is maddening lol its worse than that it was a 4 tb hardrive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! with 3tb of porn on it! im a student i barely have any money at all  so no way i can replace it either lol. I mean my laptop has 1tb storage but its all full  so like im gonna have to delete loads of stuff and be very selectivve about what porn i save now    literally like the worst thing ever as im a porn collector! i love porn way to much lol Dw i wont die on you guys i fucking love this site! gonna be my home or many years to come! has a great community and gives me access to sites my broke ass would never normally get into lol.

nah its deffo dead i think it fell off without being ejected and when i plugged it back it wasnt mounting or anything then the hardrive started to make loads of wierd noices  and a fatal harware error message came up after that it was like it wasnt plugged in at all :/ as for storeing stuff online id love to do that! but $60 is a huge ammount for me tbh maby when im an older/richer man il store everything online like that, the external hardrive was like £80 and i thought it would be my porn collection till i was like 90 years old lol this is heartbreaking.

that is all way way way to technical for me lol id have to get it restored at a shop and unfortunetly i dont fancy being the chap who goes in and gets them to restore 3 tb of porno lol be way to embarrising plus the noise that the hardrive is makeing is makeing me think something smashed in it when it dropped. I think all i can do now is mourne my loss  thanks for the advice though! and was kind of you to restore your mates pictures.

im literally in shock lol 3 and a half years worth of porn collecting gone just like that!!! so much time and effort! so many treasures!!! so much money!! its fair to say im fairly miserable lol but il bounce back!!! il just have to download only 10/10 scenes thankyou all for your kind comments and advice! love you all!
