Suggestion New contest alerts

When a new contested is posted or monthly contest thread is reopened, we may send alert for everyone that says a new contest has been started. This will increase contest participation. 
If we are doing this we need to
    1. Make sure enough numbers are allocated. 20 or 30 may or may not be sufficient (We can check the reception with a mock contest)
    2. Make sure 2 persons dont choose the same number or the second entry can be considered null

It is a nice idea and has been discussed even in past with some member or a staff member, can't remember.

First of all, to do it via alert isn't possibile because it needs to rewrite the plugin and the dev of this plugin doesn't have time to implement these changes.

Second, suppose we add this function and everyone gets an alert when a new contest is made but then there will a second request, let us inform the users when a new "brazzers" or whatever is posted.

This will kill the forum's browsing, already we have got 90% lazy members who will only browse the porn section and log out,so, making this will make them lazier because, no alert no browsing on the rest of the forum.

The contest tab is visibile on the right hand side of the theme and when any section has got a new post, the forum's icon pulses, that means, there are new posts/threads and needs to be browsed. And then, since some days, i have added a new function that when a contest is posted, shadow will inform the users on shoutbox.

I am sorry, i am rejecting this suggestion.
