House of cards is great and has a lot of plot twists.

Lesser known but one of my best recent discovery is The Bureau. Highly recommended

Yes Minister (a BBC comedy from the early 1980's). It's still relevant even today.

No. It's not like House of Cards or 24. More of a sitcom type comedy.

And only of interest if you are aware of the British political system...

I think it's on streaming sites like Britbox or via Amazon (not Prime though).
