Suggestion spendable rep

I just had an idea, i remeber DA or one of the mods saying that they were thinking of giveing rep to people who report dead accounts etc etc, i think the rep system is a great one as it rewards people for posting on the site and being active and gives us a sense of progression. But i also think their is room to flesh it out a bit more! giveing rep a little more weight and meaning, their are many ways we could do this but the one i thought of was if you were able to redeem/spend some of your accumilated rep. For example: you could spend some rep in order to make a request for a specific account to be cracked or you could spend e.g. 200 rep and get a badge that would apear next to your awards under your name, or access to the porn links shareing section.  I think this or a system like this would not only make rep more rewarding to recieve but also promote more activity and discussion in the non porn areas. As well as encourageing people to contribute more in the porn links shareing section by encourageing non crackers to post more links or to complete more links shareing requests in order to earn more rep. I think once people make the connection between talking, contributing and being apart of the community with slowly earning a valuable resource which they can then spend, that activity and community engagement will increase dramatically and i think perhaps even more people will stick around after "takeing that 1 famous porn account" and come to love the site as many of us do! However i am aware that this would be a very hard change to impliment! especially as rep is also used to achieve higher ranks! so people would need to choose whether they want to try and get a higher rank (past the automatic ones) or to spend some of their rep on other things, it would perhaps be easier to make a seperate currency earnt allongside rep that could be earnt and spent on things. However or whichever system was implimented though the goal should be to incentivise activity and contribution!

i agree. this is great idea, so not only people who pay money can have request for pornsite or pornlink. they dont have money it is okay, their reputation is their money. but again ofcourse, if we are talking about business, so real money wins the priority over the free reputation, it is good at least free account can request but they have pay attention to build reputation and also stimulating this forum grow bigger, not only just creating a bunch of clones. this spendable reputation can affect to free account who want to make a special request for his designated site. other than this free account, for people who pay monthly, gold, gold+, platinum, platinum+, cs addict, cs contributor, cs cracker, mods, admin. this does not affect to them. fair enough i think

Actually, we are already giving reps to members who report dead accounts.And for the badges,there is already two awards but the bar is set high.
We want Porn Link sharing section only among contributors and trustworthy so that the links or personal collections are only shared among them to lessen/remove the risk of losing your personal drives and the precious things you had inside.
The problem is if we allow members to exhaust the reps they automatically fall from ranks which may cause difficulties as minimum rep is required to be where they are.I don't think many would like the idea of getting demoted from senior to junior Just for an account.
If we are going to introduce new currency it would start afresh like reputations and old golden works won't get appreciated and they would need to again start from scratch to get what they need.We can clone the already available reps and use,I don't know whether its practical or not but no matter what we offer we won't get enough in return unless people are committed to contribute and the contributing ones are already having an easy time over normal leeching members through their contributions alone.
The only thing we can do is after reaching some reputation,allow them access to contributor request section or create a new request section for them which they could use once after say every 25 or 50 reputations.Its the best I could think of,maybe others could have any other nice idea.

yeah i think the ammount of rep to request a specific account would have to be pretty large like 50, so that it takes a while to get and u would only really use on a site u really really want, any lower than 50 and it would be too easy.

ooh thanks for your response its verry detailed and indepth! i cant believe i didnt think of that tbh would be much easier to award people a creddit for every 25 or 50 rep points they earn for which they could spend on 1 post in the account request section, this would have the huge benefit of not messing with rep and peoples ability to rank up, whilst still makeing rep more rewarding to recieve and more desirable. As for the reputation badges im not sure how many reps are needed but perhaps 500 rep and 1000 rep badges could be added to give people something slightly more realistic to aim for. Also yeah i see what you mean about the porn links shareing section now, that makes allot of sense! but perhaps the requirements to join should be lowered just a little bit to let more people in as currently their arent that many people useing it, this sounds like a tricky balance to figure out however!.

@radioguy33,We can understand you and we have seen this poor cycle go on to make the rules tougher for others.But Please refrain from posting irrelevant posts to the thread.You may use the SB or if you have a suggestion post it as a new thread.It would be easy for people browsing through this thread as people won't understand this post without any reference to the ban of the user.

cheers for linking it! and fair enough i can see the advantage of only letting contributors into the porn links section, for quality and longevity. Il keep thinking on it tho  im sure we can improve it/help make it a bit more active somehow perhaps even without letting more people in! I like to think im pretty good at solving/improveing things so il keep thinking on it haha.

Yet, it is going to be challenging to add this feature and to keep things in place as they are now.

We will analyze how to proceed and eventually implement your suggestion since it relates to several different aspects of forum functionality.

Awsome im glad u guys like the idea! i think its gonna promote allot more activity in the non-porn/discussion sections, as well giveing the site a more rewarding feeling of progression from daily activities such as chatting and posting. I hope it doesent cause u and DA too much effort to make however! i did a 3 hour course on python(codeing) and was really confused by the most basic stuff so i cant even imagine how tricky creating something like this would be!
